Microsoft Announces Halo Legends

Today at the San Diego Comic Con, Microsoft announced Halo Legends, an anime series based on the popular video game franchise. The series will consist of seven short films that will expand upon the Halo universe established in the games.

To handle the physical animation of each film, Microsoft has employed five Japanese production houses: Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G, Studio4 C and Toei Animation. Microsoft’s in-house staff will approve the storytelling and visuals, while Warner Bros. will oversee the DVD and digital release, which is currently scheduled for early 2010.
